Myanmar: New Patent Service Fees in Myanmar

The State Administration Council (“SAC“) issued the Myanmar Patent Law and accompanying Rules in 2024, marking a significant development in the country’s intellectual property landscape. On 29 July 2024, the Ministry of Commerce (“MOC“) released a detailed notification that included a comprehensive list of patent and utility model application forms. Following this, on 22 October 2024, the Intellectual Property Agency under the MOC issued Notification No. 2/2024, which outlines the service fees associated with patent and utility model registration as well as patent agent registration.
